This method of teaching involves a lecturer delivering an interactive speech, using an audio-visual method of delivery, on a given topic; students are expected to attend, listen and take notes.
You are expected to perform a multi faceted task with little or no training. Don’t despair! Remember that people always talk faster than they can write therefore, there is always going to be a mismatch between lecturing and note taking, no matter how skilled you are (Moran). There are, however, some practical strategies that can help enormously with note taking, managing your learning materials and handling lectures.
